Custom Specifications
Non-standard thickness, width, colour and construction — what we can make, and what we cannot.
Most enquiries that begin “you probably cannot do this” turn out to be routine. We run our own extrusion lines, so changing a die, a width or a formulation is a production decision rather than a request to somebody else’s factory.
What we can change
| Parameter | Standard | Custom range |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness | 0.1–20 mm PC | Intermediate gauges to order |
| Width | 1220 / 1560 / 1820 / 2100 mm | Other widths on request |
| Length | 2440 mm | Any length within transport limits |
| Colour | 6 stock colours | Pantone / RAL / sample matching |
| Surface | Gloss | Frosted, textured, hard coat, anti-fog |
| Function | Standard PC | FR, ESD, diffuser, UV, anti-fog |
| Structure | Solid / twin-wall | Triple, X, honeycomb |
Functional properties can be combined — hard-coated anti-fog flame-retardant sheet is a normal order, not a special project.
What we will tell you honestly
Some requests are not worth doing, and we would rather say so than take the order:
Tolerances tighter than the material. Plastic moves with temperature. A ±0.05 mm requirement on a 2 m panel will not survive a warm warehouse, whatever we machine it to.
Custom colour on a trial quantity. Colour matching carries a set-up cost that a 100 m² order absorbs badly. Order a stock colour for the trial and switch to custom at volume.
Laser-cut polycarbonate. We will not supply it. The edge is discoloured and stressed and will crack in service.
Minimum order and lead time
This grade ships from 100 m² or 1 tonne — a trial pallet, not a full container. Standard sizes and stock colours run in 7–10 days; non-standard thickness or width in 12–18 days; add 3–7 days for CNC cut-to-size work. Quoted in USD on FOB, CIF or DDP terms. Questions buyers ask
Is there a surcharge for non-standard sizes?
A width change usually carries a set-up cost; a length change generally does not, since we cut to order anyway. Custom colour carries both a set-up cost and a longer lead time.
Can you match a competitor’s specification?
Usually. Send a physical sample rather than a datasheet — it tells us what they actually produced, including any deviation from what they claimed.
Does custom work change the minimum order?
No. The 100 m² / 1 tonne minimum still applies, though custom colour runs take 15–20 days instead of 7–10.
