About the Factory

Seven extrusion lines, 22 CNC machining centres, 20,000 tonnes a year, and virgin resin from Covestro, SABIC and Mitsubishi Chemical.

Jiangsu Xinjincheng New Materials Co., Ltd. researches, extrudes and machines polycarbonate and acrylic sheet. We are a manufacturer, not a trading company — the sheet you buy is made on our own lines, in our own plant in Jiangsu Province, China.

The plant

Our site covers 100 mu — roughly 6.7 hectares — and runs seven imported intelligent extrusion lines with an annual capacity of 20,000 tonnes. Alongside extrusion we operate 22 CNC machining centres capable of ±0.1 mm precision cutting, 3D contour forming and micro-structure engraving.

That combination matters more than it sounds. A mill that only extrudes has to send your cut-to-size work to a subcontractor, which adds a week and a second party to blame when tolerances slip. We do both under one roof, so a finished part can leave the same building the sheet was extruded in.

Materials

We buy virgin polycarbonate granules from Covestro, SABIC and Mitsubishi Chemical under long-term supply agreements. Standard production contains no recycled or reprocessed feedstock.

This is the single biggest quality variable in this industry and the easiest place for a supplier to cut cost quietly. Recycled content shows up as yellowing, brittleness and falling light transmission two or three years after installation — long after the invoice is settled. Our sheet is specified to hold ≥ 85% light transmission after ten years, and V0-rated flame-retardant grades are made from V0 resin rather than surface treatment.

Research and development

We operate an in-house polycarbonate application research institute staffed by a cross-disciplinary team led by six PhDs, holding 23 core patents. The institute develops the functional grades that ordinary sheet mills have to buy in:

Grade Verified performance
Frosted / matte polycarbonate Light transmission ≥ 88%
Anti-fog polycarbonate Effective for ≥ 5 years
LED diffuser sheet Diffusion uniformity > 95%
Flame-retardant polycarbonate B1 rating, ignition point 580 °C, self-extinguishing
Hard-coated polycarbonate Abrasion-resistant surface for glazing and guarding
Anti-static (ESD) polycarbonate Surface resistivity to customer specification

Our internal technical standards for optical performance, impact strength and weathering are aligned to EN and ASTM test methods. Sheet is verified stable from −40 °C to 120 °C: it does not go brittle in a Canadian winter and does not soften on a Gulf rooftop.

Quality control

We run quality control across the whole chain, from incoming resin to finished product — raw material certificates, extrusion line monitoring, dimensional checks against the order specification, and optical and impact testing on production samples. Third-party national testing has verified the low- and high-temperature performance figures quoted above.

Who we supply

We supply distributors, fabricators, OEMs and volume buyers in more than 30 countries. Typical customers are sheet distributors who want a factory relationship instead of a trader’s margin, fabricators who need consistent sheet for CNC work, and equipment manufacturers who need a functional grade — flame retardant, ESD, diffuser — that their local stockist does not carry.

We are a core member of the Jiangsu Bakway New Materials Group.
